Today I would like to share with you 2nd Corinthians 6:14, “Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?” First, we are to love the lost and be a light to those trapped in darkness. Second, this here is a warning from the Lord not to yoke ourselves to those who follow the darkness. We need to seek God’s wisdom about who we will marry, who we will partner with in ministry, who we will have as a business partner, and who will be our mentors. Think about a yoke, fellowship and communion. A yoke teaches, fellowship makes friendships, and communion brings spiritual intimacy. So we are not to learn the from those who teach the opposite of Jesus, have friendships with lawlessness, and have spiritual intimacy with darkness. Take some time today and examine who is teaching you, who is your mentor, and who is leading you spiritually.
