1st Samuel 18:12 & 14-15

“Now Saul was afraid of David, because the LORD was with him, but had departed from Saul. And David behaved wisely in all his ways, and the LORD was with him. Therefore, when Saul saw that he behaved very wisely, he was afraid of him”.

The Lord had anointed David to be king of Israel even though Saul was still in place as king. The Lord had removed Saul as the king even though Saul was still sitting on the throne. God sees the heart of a person and what is really in their mind, heart, and soul. David walked in wisdom and knew that the Spirit of the Lord was with him. When we have this in our own life we walk in humility, wisdom, and love knowing God’s power is in us. The beauty is when you have the Holy Spirit living in us, He transforms us to be like Jesus. David a man after God’s own heart, a man who walked in wisdom. Why did Saul fear David? Because the Spirit of the living God was on David and distressing spirit was on Saul. The reality is the demonic spirits and the spirit of this age is afraid of the Holy Spirit that lives in us when we are fully surrendered to Jesus.

Prayer:
Lord let me walk in Your power and wisdom, let me not be afraid of the chaos I see around me. Lord fight my battles, give me Your strength and power to overcome sin in my life. May I be like David a man after Your Own heart.
