“Then one of the servants answered and said, ‘Look, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, who is skillful in playing, a mighty man of valor, a man of war, prudent in speech, and a handsome person; and the LORD is with him.”

David was a man that could fight and worship God. There is something to be said here about David and about men who love the Lord. Men we can have a warrior mentality, a fighter’s mentality, we can be protectors and providers for our family, for our children, and for our wives and still have a tenderness inside that worships God. We can be tough and find ourselves with tears when we are in the presence of the Lord.

Lord make me a man that loves You and can serve and protect my family. Help me to be a Godly man.
