Matthew 26:65

Today I would like to share with you Matthew 26:65, “Then the high priest tore his clothes, saying, ‘He has spoken blasphemy! What further need do we have of witnesses? Look, now you have heard His blasphemy!” Caiaphas was high priest that year. When a high priest would tear their clothes, they were relinquishing their position. When Caiaphas tore his clothes, he now gave up his position as the high priest and Jesus became the Great High Priest to all people. We may come across people who do things that are damaging and in their minds they think they are doing the right thing. But God is putting all things in motion for His perfect plan. When we look at the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, we understand that it is a beautiful picture of God’s mercy, grace and love for us to be set free from our sins. But for the disciples, in that moment, it looked like a tragedy. Remember what Satan deems for evil God will used for good. What hardship have you been through that you could not see God’s perfect plan working in? In the hardship ask the Lord, “what do you want me to learn and do?”. The Lord’s perfect plan for my life was to bring me to the Anchor. The Lord will guide you every day if you let Him.
