James 4:1-4

Today I would like to share with you James 4:1-4, “Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members? You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures. Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.” The origin of war comes from the wickedness of our hearts, we lust for things we desire for things and we do not ask God. We wish to do it without God and by our own power in the flesh therefore we break out into war. We eventually war against ourselves, we war against what is right. We demand, we become obnoxious, we become entitled, we become friends with the spirit of this world. When a person goes down this path they become an enemy of God. If you have the Holy Spirit you need to remember that you’re Heavenly Father knows all your needs and He is faithful to provide. My challenge to you is to trust in the Lord with all that you have, seek His will and obey Him, His way is better.
