Today I would like to share with you Romans 6:5-6, “For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.” I share this today with you as an encouragement and a reminder. When you gave your life to Jesus Christ, He cleansed you of all your sins because of the price he paid on the cross. You are no longer a slave to sin. Your chains are broken, you have been made free in Jesus. The old you has been crucified with Christ. You are a new creation in Christ. I want to encourage you to walk with the Lord knowing that you are a new creation. Let the Lord transform your heart and spirit to be like His. Say “no” to your old ways and resist the devil, resist temptation, and resist the spirit of this world. Our sins were forgive when Jesus died on the cross in our place. Praise the Lord that we can walk in His mercy and grace. To know the grace of God is to know the peace of God.
